For the record at that dude i quoted, if you were to look around the forum you'd see that there's plenty of posts that aren't for fun, that are serious and worthwhile, that aren't just image macros or jokes. But we need to have a fucking laugh as well, we can't be all over the forum talking seriously with long posts. I'm sure not even Embase has used every post since he joined for that reason.
