my first name is Elie (french for Ely) which is a common name among christian families in Lebanon if not the most named between the christian families. Like in the USA for example a person called Richard is nicknamed Richy, Elie is nicknamed Lello and the LL is pronounced LL and not Y and it's not spanish lol :P
