I'm pretty sure they ship it days earlier. Everytime a new album leak is being anticipated before a release there's always talk about how "people are already getting their pre-orders but nobody has leaked it yet because they're loyal and all that faggoty shit".
Or, of course, it could depend (Shocking, right?).

I always pre-order all the Eminem albums and I usually get them on the day of the release or the next day... I got Refill 2 days after it came out on Thursday
