then um...

you can't have a negative exponent so the -k^-3 is really 1/-k^3

so (-k^7)(-k^3)=k^10 (bottom part of fraction)

and the second part would be -z^3/z
the z cancels out on the bottom and you get left with -z^2 on the top

basiically if u divide powers you subtract the powers so z3 - z1 is z2
