The End of the World

Postby James R. » Jan 11th, '09, 02:25

So I'm a huge history buff which means the history channel is on my tv ALL the time, and for some reason it's been nothing but apocalypse shows and shit for the past like 2 weeks. This is all fine and well, but I think this is what's wrong with humanity. We focus WAY too much on death. People are just living to die. If we think the world is going to end in just under 4 yrs then instead of talking about it all day and trying to figure out what we can do to stop the END OF HUMAN KIND why don't we just live it up as much as possible (but not overdo it just in case it doesn't end which I don't think it will) so that if/when the end does come we can look back and be like "Yeah... not bad."

It just doesn't make sense that people who think this is inevitable are the ones focusing on it like there's anything they can do. Go out and fulfill a dream or smtn, if the earth (or at least mankind) is meant to end then it will no matter how many shows you do about on the topic. I don't think destiny (assuming it exists) gives a flying fuck. And I really don't think God (if he/she exists) is gonna come down and be like "Oh well you made all these interesting shows about it, I'll spare you. Stop the war please and look for alternative energy sources! Deucezzzz." I just don't see it happening like that. So learn a lesson from my words and go out and live it up. If you're a virgin with no game, buy a hooker. If you're a straight edge, get fucked up one good time and see how straight you were when you were makin out with all your girlfriends. Just live your life.

i agree with you....live your life to the fullest....everyone should....but to be honest..it's easy to say this ...because in the end the moment decides what happens.....idk it's just weird but i guess all of you have expierenced that moment.....as for my personal problem....i have everything locked in my mind....and somehow i often (to always) choose the wrong path and leave it locked....i honestly dont know why... :zipped: oh well...

Lemme tell you smtn man. Wrong path or right path just make sure you choose A PATH. Too many people sit at home and don't do shit. So right or wrong at least you're getting life experience.

true words man....well maybe i explained myself a bit unclear lol....there's no real right or wrong....
i mean its like....whether you say/act something/in any way and wait for the unknown reaction of the persons around you....or whether you just remain silent and keep view they have about you....it's like the fear of the unknown...but thats actually another topic/story... :zipped:

No problem Tashy-poo. Make it happen.

And C-rizz. I think I understand you a lil better now. The whole fear of the unknown... man that's human nature. You just gotta push through it. It's stopped me from pursuing shit I was passionate about too many times. It's only unknown until you try it and then you can keep on moving.

I don't believe it's going to END. I think that in the next 4 years something catastrophic will happen that makes the world realize it needs to clean up its act. I think there's a lot of coincidence and a lot of just general scientific knowledge (that would have been amazing to know back in the day) that's been hyped out of proportion. Even Nostradamus didn't predict this as an END he just said something monumental would happen that would change the world forever. Some people just took that to mean mankind could be wiped out or something. It just pains me to see so many people worrying about it and wasting so much time.

Great thread.
I say FUCK! 2012. I'm going to walk outside December 21st 2012 and 11:11am, look at the sky, point, and laugh.
LMFAO@ Brittney, bitch looking worse than a chupacabra mixed with a broken down coyote. You're disgusting ugly, so ugly in fact, my brain simultaneously exploded while processing how bitterly grotesque you look. I would much rather stick ice picks into the walls of my cranium, then stick my dick into your quagmire of a clitoris. You're what would happen if a sperm whale mated with a Godzilla fish..
