Soo.. for a year anniversary with wifey i had to give her something special. With our 'song' (lame blalbal) being a john legend one, stay with you, i knew that i had to do when he came to the netherlands. First concert was already sold out before i knew about it so i was happy that it was sold out so fast that he will do another one the day after. So i bought the tickets after a hussle because they were sold out again (long story but i got em).
Me being a big john legend fan myself, it was awesome to finally get to see him. Yesterday was the day of the concert, we took the train, ate some noodles in amsterdam and got there early. It was 1800 when we was at the door, 18:30 when they opened and the opening act was at 19:30. Grabbed some beers and we decided to stand 5 meters from the stage (pretty damn close) and we stayed there the whole night. For the record, there were 5,500 thousand people in the building.
The first opening act was Vaughn Anthony, he was actually the background singer and no one knew he was coming but he did a good job. Liked his songs and at least you listened to some music while waiting.

At 20:00 the official opening act came up; Laura izobor. 20 Year old girl from dublin with an amazing voice and a unique sound. Really soulfull. She performed till about 20:30 where we had to wait till 21:00 till john Legend got on.

So at 21:00 the big screen on the stage started to show a intro of john legend boxing and he came up after that. I think he started with 'Used to love you' and did a few songs from evolver. Pretty dope how he did all the songs i wanted to hear, i dont really like evolver so im happy he didnt stick with that. There was a full band on stage and 3 backstage singers, and the sound was GOOD.
It started up pretty fast paced, with alot of energy in it. He hit every note though and it was dope to have him that close. I took the pictures btw.

So after that he got behind his piano and started to do some slower songs and talk more to the crowd. He did 'Slow Dance' and invited a girl on stage to slow dance with him, i thought it was cool how she got really into it and wasnt shy at all. Got a movie of it but youtubes a pain in the ass so fuck it.

So after that he and the band got of the stage and ofcourse everyone was yelling for him to come back, he came back alone in a tuxedo and did 'Ordinary People' behind the piano. He made the crowd sing half and it was dope to hear everyone singing the words. Last song was a song for a charity thingy for kids in Africa, u saw a video in the background of him being there.
Well i had a great night and John Legend is a true entertainer, one of the better concerts ive been to and i'll be there when he comes here again.
