Exclusive Interview with James R

Postby JMG » Jun 6th, '09, 03:28

James R. wrote:Id look to start off to say im a big fan of your work, your bring alot to the table for the TR rap game.

Hahah thanks man I appreciate the support.

What inspires you to take it to the next level the way you do?

People like Eminem, Biggie, Jay, and Nas. I listen to them rhyme about shit so effortlessly and I just aspire to be that one day. And a good beat. If I'm not feelin a beat a can't write on it.

Whats the future hold any thing we should be looking out for?

Oh yeah man. I've been suffering from a pretty serious writer's block the past few weeks or maybe months and it's been devastating for me. In the coming months you should definitely look out for some James R. audio. I'm just gonna hold off until I can record it (and record it well) and really try to blow people away.

What makes you stand out besides your Red name is your confidence, do you think alot of people mistake it for arrogance?

More than likely, but it's not a big deal to me. I'm the same way in person. I have a hate it or love it kind of personality. I'd like to think that I have more friends than enemies though. As long as I feel that remains true I won't sweat it.

Where do you stand on the whole banning sticcy situation, do you think it was justified?

I understand why Killa and the mod team did what they did. Of course I don't agree with it because me and Sticcy are tight. He just plays too much. I think if they let him back he'd really chill. I mean that's what he told me when I talked to him, and he's never given me reason not to believe him so I do.

Do you feel like TR is going downhill, what can we do to keep it going strong?

TR isn't going down hill, it's just changing. A lot of people that were here back in 06 when I was here before are gone. A lot of good people. But we've gotten a lot of good new people. With new Em shit there's always an influx of new people. As long as we got new people we'll be going strong. I mean shit there was a time when me, you, and maybe were all new and we aint too bad hahah.

Alot of people having been lashing out about your avy, and saying its sexist what do you have to say about that?

Lmao man if they can't laugh at that shit they need to off themselves for real.

Ok I appreciated your time and I wish you luck in the future, Anything you would like to say to your fan's and peers?

Thanks man. To all of my supporters I'm sorry for being so inactive in CW. I'm gonna do my best to change that asap. Look out for James R. audio. And to everyone else just keep it fuckin fresh. Shout out to Sticcy, Slimmy, and Maybe son!
