So..i'm looking for a new laptop. I want a mac but unless i'm looking in the wrong place they're like £600 or so? Considering i want it for christmas, i doubt that's gonna happen lol.

Just looking for ideas?...i'd like one that holds a lotta memory..like music and films, cause that's what is mainly on my laptop atm but mine's a few years old so it makes it run incredibly slow, i have an external harddrive but i also want a new laptop just so it's nice and clean without all this shit that i don't even know what it is on my computer lol. lots of memory is preferable to store on external hard drives.
They will help you to keep your laptop clean. But that is your choice..

whats important is to focus on Ghz and RAM.
RAM should be above 2024 mb, but higher is preferable.
GHZ, i would say above 3.

do you want to die hard game on it? Because than the price will go up. as good video cards are very expensive.

If i was you, i'd wait until after thanksgiving, thats when all the really good deals appear. That's when I got my laptop last year, for about $500, and it's really good. If ur a gamer, your gonna end up paying a lot more for a good pc, but just for casual stuff like music and movies, you should be able to find a suitable one for cheap

get a desktop, unless you plan on actually taking the computer with you to places, a laptop is a waste of money.

You'll never find a laptop with over a 3Ghz clock speed, idk wtf he was talking about.
for instance this (http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications ... CatId=4935) $2,500 laptop only have a 1.2 Ghz clock speed.

It's not all about RAM and Ghz. You can have a processor that runs at 4Ghz, but my i7 running at 2.6 Ghz will beat the pants off of it because it have 4 Cores and 8 Processing threads.

Basically, if you're looking for a decently priced laptop, you're looking at a Dual Core processor and about 4 GB of ram.

Working at GeekSquad, I've come to love Asus more than i used to. Asus pretty recently started making their own computers, back in the day they supplied HP, Toshiba, Sony, and most of the other manufacturers with the parts to build the computers (motherboards etc). Now they make their own computers and they're great. Not only the performance, but the build quality is incredible. So trust me, just get an Asus, you'll love it.

I realised i should get a new one soon when a 4gb sd card doesn't work on my computer
