Technically it's a double standard, not hypocrisy.
There is a distinction to be made between double standards and hypocrisy, which implies the stated or presumed acceptance of a single standard a person claims to hold himself or herself accountable to, but which, in practice, may be disregarded.
A double standard refers to any set of principles containing different provisions for one group of people than for another.
Two different things.
So it's actually not hypocrisy at all.

Double standards go usually hand in hand with hipocrisy, but, in this case, it's not a double standard at all. When you divide a group in two and issue different rules or principles, well, that's a double standard.

In this case, it's in some cases okay for a boy to have sex at such an age, and in some cases not. Whereas, almost in all cases, it's not allowed for a girl to have sex at such an age.
Which makes it hypocrisy.

The word hypocrisy says it all; the word is an amalgam of the Greek prefix hypo-, which means "under", and the Greek verb "krinein", which means "to sift or decide". Which basically means, that a person seperates certain things, in this case gender, and applies the principles he or she believes is justified in that case. Which, to me, makes it hipocrisy.

I know man is inherently hypocritical, but that's not always necessarily a bad thing in and of itself. For example, if a person tells people not to murder but then goes on to murder someone him/herself, would the hypocrisy or the murder be the greater evil? Obviously the murder. So I don't think hypocrisy is the all-inherant evil trait in man.
