A friend said this today. Someone explain this to me.

Unless there is a dominating voice overshadowing the scenes in the film/show, then people will not be able to detect the plot by mere interpretation by the acting.

Well yeah, films with narrators are usually molded to fit with the narrator, so if you take away the narrator of course it would be fucked up. But he used in a way to say that any film with a narrator is bad.
