Marijuana Legalization in the United States

Postby AbramIsaac » Mar 27th, '10, 23:28

Well...things are getting interesting.

California will be voting on whether or not to legalize cannabis in November. A bill will be introduced in Nevada, sometime in 2012, to legalize cannabis as well. Beyond that, bills are being planned to for Oregon, and late last year one was proposed in Massachusetts.

So, do you believe it'll happen?

Oh, and if anyone opposes it, please post your thoughts. Your view is most definitely flawed, and will be shot down (without a doubt), but still feel free.

Touche'. :-k

Anyway, I'm thinking that California's passage of this bill is a possibility. Popular vote is free of any bullshit political repercussions. No Veto, no politicians being afraid of backlash.

All of the more recent polls have shown a majority of Californians supporting legalization. It seems like it may actually happen this year.

I dont know. I hope it does. But, there was a good point made that if cali does this then your going to have more problems with people moving it into the neighboring states and that a lot of the country will flock to cali to buy land so they can grow and sell dope. And smoke it for free instead of paying for the shit.

I doubt its going to pass. I hope it does though

Marijuana affects the brain and leads to impaired short-term memory, perception, judgment and motor skills. Ad that should be legalized?

Thank you. I know so many hypocritical cunts who go out get pissed every weekend. I can then smoke weed say, once a month and I get stick from people for it. Alchohol is FAR worse for you in the short term, especially, but the long term as well.

Weed doesn't bring anything positive and neither does alcohol. Answer: No
