I think it would have got popular by this time without me because that's how the Internet has turned recently. 4Chan got massively popular and all its memes burst off onto their own sites, so now you can't go anywhere without seeing a "u mad" or fucking trollface shit. But back in 2008 when it was just me posting facepalms and the lol wut pear, nobody else here had any idea what that shit was lol. So people started doing it after me.

It's not even a real boast of course, to be egotistic about whether you were the first to post images on an Internet forum would be fucking pathetic. But it is true, I pretty much did start it.
