Well for one, I said that because Devil's Advocate doesn't have enough knowledge on the subject to say whether the Illuminati is real or not, but this is my take on the matter.

The Illuminati that make rappers famous and put sumbliminal clues in the Simpsons do not exist. That has been blown out of proportion. However, there is a group of elitists that do some very weird things behind the scenes; CEO's, bankers, politicians, etc. Maybe they call themselves the Illuminati, maybe they don't.
