Master Chief wrote:Why did you say that Chino was better than Royce in this thread but then you listed 10 rappers in that "10 rappers you don't want to listen to" thread including Royce & Chino XL and went on to say they're all "decent, I guess" except for Chino and that you "fucking hate him"? It makes no sense.
Explain yourself, mister.
My hate for Chino Xl is moreso on objective reasoning, meaning that I think he's a horrendous rapper, that lot's of people like to overhype like some sort of lyrical messiah, when he has a shit ton of corny ass punchlines that are on par with Em's on Recovery or even Lil Wayne's, the fact that he bases a good portion of his style around punchlines doesn't help his case, not to mention I'm not a huge fan of punchline artists to begin with (I like Big L and Celph Titled though). Add in his voice which sounds like his balls haven't dropped yet (though he's a steroid up motherfucker so who knows), and choppy flow and there you have it.
I will credit him for pioneering the whole celebrity bashing that Eminem took after, though Eminem did it with much more tact, but that's it really.
I don't HATE Royce, I exaggerate a good portion of my posts towards him, in all honesty, he's alright I guess. I only listened to a few songs other than DIC, and I haven't exactly listened to it like I would listen to Lupe, meaning that I only listened to it, so I can add it under my belt as albums I that I listened too. He has skill I guess, I just find him utterly boring and lifeless as an mc, but I'm not telling you why I hated him in the 1st place or why I tend to overexaggerate my hate for his music.
