In my own thread?

Well, if we're not counting tongue-in-cheek comments I guess it would be

I guess it really isn't that stupid, but the answer to it was obvious from the start ;)

If you get the chance to meet 5 members in real life and just hang out with, who'd you pick ?

VenomBlackViper - He seem like he would know how to show me a good time, yes homo.

stillmatic - He seems to be an awesome.

Slimm - The classic metrosexual that is essential on any of these lists.

Hopsin - So we can be mega awesome friend man-buddies when we put on our matching contacts, take pictures then make a topic about it on TR and everybody will think I'm cool :flutter:

One Mic - This one requires a little bit of elaboration. Everybody likes to hype me up as some mysterious figure but the truth is that there's so much ambiguity and mystique to One Mic's true persona that's been gradually building since he "returned". Like Mike, I'm starting to doubt that this "One Mic" is actually the one that had deleted his account oh so long ago. We don't know who he is, we don't know his actual race, we don't know if he's joking with his music taste or not, we don't know if he really believes in the hypocrisies that he preaches in his posts. Meeting him for even a couple minutes would give me a chance to actually answer the questions that I've been wondering for a while now.

If you get the chance to meet a rapper, who's you meet ?

2Pac tbh.

Do you write raps ? If so, who are your influences and are you planning to drop a piece here ?

No, I don't. Everybody who listens to rap seems to eventually pick up the pen but it was just something that never attracted me to tbh. Class says I should because my voice is sexy but I'm just too awesome at other things to sit down and try to line up syllables. But, even without that I already know I'd be a more popular rapper than Sentus :shifty: . But, if I ever made music it would probably be something similar to Dumbfoundead or this:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=En8DwCeKa6M

And if I did, I would never drop a CW piece here. I still live by the rule of not posting anything that anyone could possibly turn into an insult, it makes shitting on idiots alot easier when the time actually comes.

As cold hearted as this answer may seem, not really.

I believe everybody has the choice to pursue what they want. It's like that cliche storyline of the kid who slaves to meet his parent's expectations (Anyone who says they've never seen anything like this is a fucking liar). Why let the shortcomings of others weigh you down as to what or what not your own goals are, and why should it be a burden over your head that others were basically born differently from you? You shouldn't "owe" anything from your birth. Everybody has their own natural talent, it's a matter of whether it coincides with where you want to go. On top of that, skill can be birthed naturally but almost anyone can at least get near their destination through perseverance and endurance.

If I was born with some kind of natural talent like being an amazing singer of course I'm going to end up "wasting it" because I'm not trying to be the next fucking Beyonce and I don't owe it to Rebecca Black to do anything. I guess you could use it as some type of motivation, but I'm not going to say I should squeeze every drop out of my natural talent knowing that there's someone in a reverse position when the same thing can apply to the next guy. If my goal was to go to a certain school but the chances were slim because I didn't have enough money to meet that goal, I'm not going to blame any of them for not acknowledging how lucky they are, I'm just going to work harder.

Unless you mean "Because I am generally very talented, do I owe it to people who are not very talented to prosper?", in which case I would still say no. Like I said, it can be some type of motivational mindset, but your motivation should be to excel in general, not to exceed for those who don't get the chance. Success is something you don't owe anyone but yourself.

What do you think of Masta Ace?

If you could have access to one member's account who would it be?

I was going to make a very long and explained post going into detail about the whole beef trying to be as diplomatic as possible but I decided not to because I love all 3 of them.

I'm going to go ahead and say if it's an internet pissing contest, like EI referred to it as, Block won. If it's just a random argument/debate on who can out do who in spear-chucking rebuttals, EminemInsider/Amadeo probably did edge it considering Block just stopped replying.

What do you think of Masta Ace?

I noticed that Eminem's early style was clearly influenced by him, especially in regards to their rhyming. It makes me wonder why he didn't shout him out in his top 10 in "Till I Collapse"....

/sarcasm

I've been meaning to check him out but I almost never get around to it.

If you could have access to one member's account who would it be?

Hopsin's. Since people seem to believe it's him, I would start making fake announcements and start promising some of the shitty Audio Stage artists' collabs and such. Then I'd tell someone to impersonate Swizzz and go crazy. But I'm Not Crazy :coffee:

Do you, like me, fucking hate anyone who describes themselves as "bubbly"?

Here I get "I'm so random!" or "I'm such a weird person!" and other obnoxious adjectives along those lines but yes, I immediately stop taking anyone seriously and take it as a confirmation of my mental superiority once anybody says that.

You or PK, who's the real trendsetter?

Elzhi or OBL, in pure talent independent of production?

Which rapper do you believe benefitted the most from death hype?

Which deceased rapper do you believe is overlooked?

How much do you care about multies when listening to rap music?

I wasn't referring to me, it's just a topic I thought you would like to get into and thanks for doing so. You gave a good perspective.

Well it depends on what you would consider killing. Is it reducing activity in just about every other thread and discouraging making any new topics? Definitely yes. Is it reducing activity in the Backstage in general? For the most part, no.

I don't consider a Question thread spam as much as I consider it every single possible topic condensed into one convenient thread. Every topic in the Backstage is either a "Your favorite _____" topic, a topic for discussion on an identifiable subject or an argument. You can inform, you can uncover, and you can persuade anybody using their Question thread.

Most of the questions asked here seem like they can be used to make topics. The reason people make topics in our modest little community here is to get an answer from members they had in mind when they were actually making said topic, but if that member already has an "ask a Question" thread, they can just cut through the bullshitting and just get a single answer from them right there, which basically nullifies point of making alot of topics.

I guess from another perspective the time it takes to reply to each question also demotivates you from wanting to post in other places as well. I really wish that I hadn't made the classthe_king Question thread when I did, because the trend seemed to have been dying down before I did that. Now, I don't see the "trend" blowing over completely for 2-4 weeks at the very least unless a resolution is forced upon us.

You or PK, who's the real trendsetter?

I know I've started a couple trends but I can't remember which and just how many, but at the same time I don't think Derdy has started that many either other than people paying homage to his favorite rappers since they seem to think he's joking (Canibus, Lil' B, to a much lesser extent, Kreayshawn).

I guess it would be a tie in terms of quantity. We're not such awesome trendsetters that we can do whatever the hell we want and start a trend out of it because of our fan-base of blind sheep. Our followers actually support it (in a way, whether they think it's funny or because they believe what we're saying) before they adopt the gimmicks.

Elzhi or OBL, in pure talent independent of production?

This is hard because they're extremely similar. If this is pure talent, I guess I'd have to throw discography out of the window too , I've listened to Elmatic & Preface by Elzhi and I've listened to SONOGRAM by One Be Lo, and I think OBL edges him out a little bit.

Which rapper do you believe benefitted the most from death hype?

Biggie.

Which deceased rapper do you believe is overlooked?

ODB.

How much do you care about multies when listening to rap music?

This is what my aspect percentage thread was for. They used to be all I cared about but now I'm looking more at the general sound or style of the artist for first impressions. They don't mean much unless I'm listening to a certain rapper for the reason that their impressive rhyming makes up their vocal style (Diabolic, Crooked I).

Even just looking at lyric sheets, they're not my primary concern. There's more to having layered lyricism and being deep than being able to rhyme 2 coherent sentences together and what people fail to realize is that rappers like DZK & Eminem mainly use them for the phonetic effect. It's part of flow. Great rhyming sounds amazing when it's strung together and flowed properly, the 2nd verse of Sing For The Moment can attest to that. That's why it's semantics on whether or not you can call Relapse the work of a "Good lyricist". You can consider them great lyrics because they were written well enough to sound very good in rhythm or you can consider them shit lyrics because looking at them some of the lines are shit.

And because of this, it makes me lol when somebody is trying to seem impressive through suffocating their verses in hidden schemes, long end-rhymes and internals but the actual flow ends up choppy or just straight up off-beat yet still try to justify it. It defeats the purpose from how I see it.

I guess I can see the appeal in why other rappers are so easily impressed by word choice, vocabulary and such. Basically, I think every good rapper should already be past that 80's mono-syllabic bullshit and they definitely add to lyrics but they're not the first thing I look for. When I am looking for them, it's for the vocal sound of them, but there are other aspects that can compensate for the lack of a "mind-blowing" rhyme scheme.

I think everybody on this forum generally looks up to Maybe. Or atleast, I think out of everybody here he's among the most respected and we would follow his beacon in time of crisis.. He's the admin of the forum so he does have a huge hand in where we go and he's just an example of a genuinely ideal member. One of the best rappers on the forum, one of the best GFX heads on the forum, yellow name, knowledgeable hip-hop head, witty, good debater, the works.

why can't i think of a question to ask?
