Because the kangaroos mostly live further out west (I'm speaking this from the east side). The further out west you go, the hotter it is because its moving into the desert. The coastlines (where I live) aren't as hot unless its up north. In winter down somewhere like Sydney, or maybe further south they get snow. How do i know? My grandfather lives there and he gets snow in winter. Its not alot, but still snow...

And who said kangaroos can't live in the cold? Their fur is long enough to keep them warm if they need it. Plus did you know the desert is freezing at night time?

I just looked at google map, and zooming in on south australia i think i could see herds of kangaro's and Crocs.
