I use that (and eminem I suppose) as an example of people getting shit for praising its goatness, when its genuinely a challenger lol, so they should just stick to their guns

I was referring to shawshank getting shat on for it's feel gud nature and how overly sentimental it is. I think it gets ripped apart more because it dethroned Godfather in IMDB.

And ugh most batman movies are overrated, The Dark Knight is only cool cause of the joker. If you want a real example of superheroes being placed a gritty realistic setting with good worldbuilding and actualy depth than read watchmen (not that shitty ass movie).
