I'd only really consider smoking weed if it was with Sagan... I mean, being able to appreciate the stars MORE with one of the best astronomy teachers in history? Count me in.

Yeah, he was definitely an amazing man.

One of those rare instances of a scientist that can bring science to the mainstream public, and make it interesting enough that they'll pay attention. Those guys don't come along very often, and when they do, it's because they're a rare combination of brilliant and charismatic.

For sure. Our generation's Sagan is Neil deGrasse Tyson. I love that guy. He's so fun and loveable, but he can get serious in a blink of an eye and just totally destroy any comfortable notion you had of our place in the Cosmos... :flutter:
