Top 10 Hip Hop ARTISTS (skills don't count)

For threads of little importance, general chit chat and forum games. Be aware posts do not count in this section.

This thread just goes to show that you actually think "rapper skillz" as opposed to "as a hip-hop artist" is a criteria that can be made to show how Xzibit or Hopsin are better rappers than 2pac, Slug or Kanye West.

And also, you were completely off the mark with "hipster rappers", naming Eyedea and Sadistik just because me, Solace and class are big fans.

>listing Earl Sweatshirt
>not listing Blu

Lol @ thinking Class is a hipster as well.

Regardless of how I feel about current Em's music his first three is enough to catapult him to the discussion combined with his status ofc people will say he is. I dunno why people don't grasp artists falling off and confine that to rap lots of greats had disastrous and dismal careers outta their best records.

Obv. Eminem had a fuckton of impact in artists and I have no doubt Kendrick definitely studied MMLP, we're just aying that his influence isn't directly traceable with a lot of great new artists. Like certain rappers or even producers are. Just goin by well he's big and famous and great so he's made lots of impact and is more influentail than your favorite rapper is like doin that kanye west and comparing him to dilla. The latter definitely had more influence on rap production wise, maybe cause he's been in it a little longer or maybe cause he's more innovative. He practically invented Flying Lotus.

I know a few that think TES is lesser than his first two, lol. Although some also think it's better. It's a very divisive record amongst fans.

StayWideAwake has always had a hard-on for me because he's a philosophy major and doesn't reason well, but thinks he does.

I find the "8" replacement very humorous

also less characters to type makes it convenient at times.

Yeah, it's an interesting one. I know, like, EminemInsider and Amadeo think SSLP is the best, and you think that too. But the majority of Eminem fans think it's easily the worst out of the three.

It has some obviously great songs and great writing on it.

Other factors are that it's the most likely to be an idiot fan's favourite and is also the most over-saturated out of the three.

It's prolly cause SSLP & MMLP are prty interchangable for me and which I prefer depends on the day. They work in pairs and just feed of each other. And as a result TES feels more alienating...

speaking of rym but yeah I was referring to that site in terms of fans who find TES noticeably less than the first two. Zephos is the only one who thinks TES is his best.

StayWideAwake, we know you always love trying to argue about serious topics, then get annoyed when you get disproven, then pull out your big "I know philosophy" dick like it's going to help your arguments or something.
