I loved that they worked Frodo in, it worked so well to tie it in with the Fellowship. They even used the same book that Frodo had in FOTR, everything. He definitely did look older, it was weird...but obviously that's to be expected 10+ years after they shot LOTR.

Fuck yeah, watched it. The visuals are so fucking immense. That was awesome as shit. Don't think I watched it in 48fps though, odd, but it was great. In addition I bought FEAR 2 and an Atmosphere CD, so it's been a good day.

Am I the only one that wasn't that pleased with the movie?

I felt like they tried too hard to go away from Middle-Earth. Sure the canon is there, but they relied too much comic relief and took away from the seriousness... I know the book is supposed to be light-hearted and shit, but damn, it didn't have the LotR feel to it.
