We Need A Chatbox

Instead of all these "ask [insert name] a question" threads, a chatbox can fix that.

Backstage seems dead.

I don't know if you could really be spamming as this is the backstage after all,though I do agree in principle, that the backstage has been rather lackluster lately. Is there a direct correlation between the Ask a question threads though, probably, as it pretty much eliminates the need for some thread ideas and I could see the appeal in them as it lets you connect with members you like the most. I'm not complaining though, as I'd be a hypocrite since I participate in a lot of them and have a pretty active one, it is getting kinda stale though even answering questions.

Agreed. I got nothing against these threads, it's just getting out of control. Well kind of, I mean I can't be bothered reading 15 pages... Cause I'd rather read new material. I hate seeing the same old threads getting bumped up, it's pretty damn boring unless there's a lot of jokes and shit going on. Way I see it, the questions being asked are ridiculously boring. Content sucks, it's all just a race of post count and whoever makes the longest thread. Content... "it's a classic if it's 15 pages" type bullshit. Just my two cents.

actually I have, we have one on chelseafcforums.com, i'm a mod there (only viewed if ur registered though). Anyways, Old comments dissapear, it fits like 20 posts, then each new one causes the oldest one to dissappear... while threads, u can always go back and post in them or look at them by just searching

I wasn't implying you didn't know what a chatbox is. I'm just confused as to why you would think it would take over and why would everyone stop making threads? Backstage isn't what it used to be btw. There has been a lot of important/serious threads in this section, this section isn't just for laughs and giggles, it's for everything. So no, having a chatbox won't kill this section off, it would probably keep this place a lot more nice and tidy.

Actually it's quite the opposite, I'm pretty sure the Ask a Question threads pretty much nullify any reason to produce threads in the first place, since you can just ask your favorite members certain questions, that could be used to make a thread instead. Like I said however, I'm not going to complain since I've been a big part of this whole fiasco, so...

Everyone comes to backstage cause their bored, so they make pointless threads or bump old threads just to keep themselves entertained (CAPS LOCK THREAD/Conversation thread etc). 'Last one to post wins...GAME' being my main example. The main reason why this thread is still active to this day is because this site can get really boring sometimes, because in all honesty this thread is pointless. My point is instead of having bullshit threads being bumped up all the time, why not just have a chatbox? That way we can have better threads in this section, and all the junk goes on the chatbox. Btw I'm not worked up about this, I'm just suggesting. It is what it is.
