I'm not sure if Class was being serious there. Doesn't sound like something he would have said and meant it lol.

But yeah - I remember when I first listened to Not Afraid. It got me pumped up for Recovery, I was super looking forward to it. I actually bought Recovery on release day. I think that was the first album I ever bought on release day. Hell: The Sequel would be the second. :y:

I know it gets tons of hate but I love the track. It's my personal preference and it hasn't really changed since day one.

An awesome post, though. It's always cool to see people's initial reactions to the first single! Props. :y:

Hated it at first, hate it now.

The only good thing it has going for it is that it's unintentionally hilarious.

It would have been good if it didn't have so many incredibly corny punchlines.

I was super pumped for Recovery, there's been many posts where I've stated that. And plus you have to think about the circumstances of when the song was released. I hd listened to it one time at school and thaat was the first eminem full song without an accent in years, plus it was an emotional first single for the first time ever. Once the Eminem goggles fade it's easier to judge the song for what it is.

I remember having this song on my harddisc, but I had not much time to bump it in that period. Then all the hype started and I was conquered by it. It's in my personal alltime top3, will love it forever and ever.
