Interview (courtesy of theg digest):
By now you've probably heard Robot's smash single "I'm a Bot" with almost 100 downloads in less than a day, it's setting (and breaking) records all over the place. We here at theg Digest caught up with the 22 year old Californian rapper to talk about his song, success and upcoming plans for the future. Here's our interview.
theg: Why don't you tell us all a little bit about yourself?
Robot: Since I was younger, I've had at least 3 open heart operations, I also had some trouble with my hand and my fingers where not flexible. I've had migraines through out my life, I always wanted to join in on the fun
theg: That sounds tough, but look at you now. You just released the song "I'm a bot" to great reviews. How did you come up with the concept for the song?
Robot: Well I'm a big Eminem fan and I thought it would be cool to do a remix of one of my favorite rappers songs.
theg: That's cool. So how long have you been rapping?
Robot: Nearly 2 days *chuckles* Just kidding.
theg: Haha, so how long has it really been then?
Robot: I've been rapping since I was 12.
theg: Oh, really? Any other songs floating around out there that you have released? Or was "Bot" your first official release?
Robot: "I'm a Bot" was my first official release. When I was younger, I would go against my brother because he likes to rap too, so we would freestyle against each other.
theg: The old sibling rivalry. Sounds good, any chance that we will hear your Robrother featured on a track in the future?
Robot: No. I would like to but not anymore. I mean I did when I was younger but he is always too busy. Never has time.
theg: Oh, that's too bad. Speaking of the future, is there anything you are working on that you want to shed some light on?
Robot: I'm currently working on a mixtape. It's called Welcome to Botland, and it's about me growing up and getting everybody to know about Robot.
theg: Awesome. How many songs (if any) are recorded for the mixtape already?
Robot: None so far, Just "I'm a Bot". But I'm always writing and I'll be recording again soon.
theg: Alright, thanks. That just about wraps it up. I know you're busy and I'll let you get back to it. Thanks for taking the time to do an interview, anything else you want to add?
Robot: I think that's just it.
theg: Alright, thanks again.
Robot: No problem, thank you.
