How do You Clear Your Head?

I've been going through some shit lately and it's been getting to me in a really bad way. Stress and anxiety and all that shit is just hitting me hard. Can't even sleep most nights. I tried working out, jogging, hard drugs, walking, reading, writing, hot showers, and nothing seems to work. So how do you guys clear your heads when things are weighing on you a little too heavily?

Sex, masturbation, drinking, partying, reading and music.

Really though, reading books really help. When you read a book your in a different world for a while, you dont think of the problems anymore. Just try to read a book till your really tired, put the book away and try to stay in that little world you created.

Well, to really go into another world i'd advice Fantasy. Eragon, shannara, shit even harry potter. History books are awesome too, but tend to be long and very detailed. Have you tried Dan Brown? Angels and Demons is great, illuminati and shit yo.

Huh.. I get drunk and then suffer a terrible hangover the next day and the only thing I can think about is that awesome feeling of NOT being able to do anything at all, beginng your manager to release you home earlier or just falling asleep somewhere in the back of the class during some boring lecture.

Reading.. Yes. Reminds you that you're not the only one with issues, although everyone thinks their problems are the biggest and most important. How stupid is this, how the hell can I get all depressed and sad over some tiny little thing like exams or my friend's suicidal thoughts when Harry Potter is facing Lord Voldemort? Smh, I must be out of my mind.

As for some good books.. I recommend The Godfather. It's even more amazing than the movie and shit, it's long, fascinating, it takes you to this awesome world of Italian mafia. Ahhh.. gotta love it. I think you'd like it too, James. Old-school gangsters in suits, strong personalities like Mike or Sonny, big money and the always present Italian spirit.

And yeah, Angels & Demons and Da Vinci Code are both great.

Hanging out with the people you like the most helps too. I don't know anything better than having a good, or better - great time with bunch of your favorite peeps who make you happy just by looking at them. Go to some place you like, I especially like the riverside. Sit, talk about unimportant stuff like who's ass the biggest or who do you think is the biggest idiot on your year, grab a beer. Helps alot when you know you have someone who will always make you laugh, even if you think you're in the deepest shit possible.

I'm just kind of giving everything a shot ya know? If I can fill my time more efficiently then maybe I won't have to focus on the things that aren't going my way.

I decided to volunteer at the nearest animal shelter to really help keep me busy. Give me that feeling of accomplishing something. Might try to volunteer somewhere else if this goes well. I'm gonna start it tomorrow afternoon I think.
