What is your college like? I go to A community college, like a two-year college than gonna transfer to a big college. I came here cause my girlfriend is still in high school. I skipped a grade so I'm 17 and in college. Will be 18 in January though. But it's in Kansas, and for all you foriegners it's in the exact middle of the US. Really flat here like farms and stuff. Gets alot of tornadoes. Like in Wizard of Oz lol. But it's a real small town called El Dorado. Really small like maybe 8,000 people live here or so. It's about a 40 minute drive to wichita, the biggest city though so it's not so bad. My college is like a big atheletic college. #1 football team in community colleges in america forever. So we get ALOT of dumb jocks. But there is a party like evry other day. Just wanna know what your guys colleges are like.

I've got the same deal as you, pretty much. Two-year community college (MSU) and I may transfer to the four-year college about an hour away. Might go as far as to go two hours away to the other one, as it's a little cheaper and has more chill people. 10,000 people in Missouri for my college though.

What are you going for?

Secondary Education. Was gonna teach high school english like poetry and stuff but been thinkin about some other possibiliteis. Wat bout you?

Computer Technology. Kinda covers a few different things. I think I'll probably go into tech support initially, but hope to get on as a programmer eventually.

Hey, I might have to come on up to Kansas and get a job at NPC International Helpdesk. You know, the Pizza Hut franchise company. All of their tech support is handled out of Kansas, we'll have to have a Peyote session...

That sounds sort of racist, but I mean that. I don't know if you have any experience with the cacti out of the desert, but since you're a Native I thought you might be acquainted. I have to say that it is quite the profound experience, and it's position as "medicine" is definitely deserved.

Interesting. Yeah, being from the reservation, I'm sure you've seen a lot of addiction issues. Is there still a big issue with Methamphetamine? I know that the reservations were hit pretty hard by that shit. Being from Missouri, I know all about how that shit can affect a community.

I think for either of those two things, you'd need to be a psychology major, correct? Definitely something you might want to consider. As for rapping, there's no reason not to just get everything set up and hit it hard as fuck this next spring and summer. Go on a small tour, get your material up to what it needs to be, etc. Performing in front of a large-ish group of people is a rush, and it's definitely something you should pursue, simply because we need to do what we can while we're young, right?

Yeah ima just rap on the side till spring or so then try to do some concerts and stuff. Yeah on the rez they were everywhere. was addicted to herion when I was 13 and all that kinda made me wanna help other people. I really wanna help the inner city/rez type kids. I know they got alot of anger and stuff in em wanna help em out of gangs and all that. been there done that.

Heroin, huh? Damn, that's some pretty heavy shit. How was it that you were able to overcome it? Was it a rehab/methadone type thing, or something else?

I agree, the anger is what drives addiction and destructive behavior. The anger at the feeling of hopelessness you feel when it's like you're stuck at the bottom while these rich motherfuckers keep everyone else down. The Free Market isn't free, and Capitalism only benefits the rich...

Anyway, I think that as a teacher, you could still help those kids out, but they may not listen since you would be an authority figure. So being a counselor might be the career for you, since you come from a place of understanding, not judgment.

I got sent to a detox center for it in Arizona in the middle of summer....awhole lot of fun. But yeah was in gangs bein a dumb kid so I just wanna help other kids out like I was. I always thought about being a conselor. I've always been good at that sort of thing

High school for UK finishes at 16, then it's college for usually 16-18 (sometimes older) THEN university 18+. College for americans is just a different word for what our university is. As far as i know it's pretty much the same in other european countries, but i could be wrong
