I've only seen this when its to do with circles. From what I know you cant solve it, only get information about the centre and radius etc. If its not connected with circles then I dont have a clue. Sorry.

81x + 64y = 0

64y = -81x

y = -1,27x or x = -0,8y

i dont know if ur european or american or whatever so the ' . ' and ' , ' could be switched.

here's the good one

81x^2 + 64y^2 = 0

9x + 8y = 0
9x = -8y

x = -1,13y or y = -0,89x

no, the 0 is only a number given to make it understandable
but later you can put the 9 or the 8 to the other side of the = by multiply it by -1

but if u do it in this way:


x=-1,13y

and then:

9 * -1,13y + 8y = 0
-10,17y + 8y = 0
-2,17y = 0
y = 0

^ well.. i was taught to do it in this way.. :confusion:
