The label have a reputation to keep up. If something is too controversial, then they'll get a bad reputation and people will be like 'how dare they let someone release an album like that'. That was what the gay rights campaigners were saying when MMLP dropped.

And yes he will do what the label says. Every artist does, depsite what you think. Em didnt want a poppy single on MMLP but Interscope made him do it. Interscope made him change the lyrics to Purple Pills for the single. I mean, it seems likely, it was Interscope who wanted to change Relapse 2 from a Relapse style album. Don't think Em doesn't give a fuck what the label says - of course he does, otherwise they wont release his album.

yeah but they maybe want to change the lyrics only for the released singels. I mean what Em can say somethink so controversial, that the label will trow it away. We talk for Em for god sake. Look at songs like Kim, Insane, Bonni and Clyde, Kill You and 50% of Relapse. If the label don't skrap these songs, what songs it'll do!!
