Amadeo wrote:just because Eminem works with an artist, doesn't mean he doesn't think they suck. he was on Forever & Drop The World to get his name out in the public consciousness again & it worked.

Eminem always thought Fred Durst was a talentless hack yet he still collaborated with him & even cameo'd in his video. it was just to promote himself & get his name out in the public eye. then, when Durst backed out of doing another collaboration, Eminem told the world what he really felt about him.

So you're basically saying that Eminem is an attention whore?

I get what your saying with the whole fred durst thing amadeo. But, I dont think an artist of his calibur would need to try and get his name out in the mainstream again by working with an artist he doesnt like. I mean, he was the highest selling rap artist last year. His name is out there again. And even without those two wayne songs, recovery would still be the most anticipated album of 2010. I dont know, I get what your saying, but I dont think it would be needed considering how well he is doing anyways. I actually dont think there is any alterier motive behind it. And it isnt like wayne is a talentless hack either. Mans got skills, whether or not he displays them in every song is neither here nor there. He CAN rip songs. Bottom line.

All that being said...Xanax is alright, but only if you got a tolerance. Otherwise its just a sleepin pill. I prefer the opiates. Perks, Vikes and Contins.

Your clockwork " orange " theme is making more sense though now.

Personally i think he's just saying it to give the image of a cocky bastard in his music, because it seems pretty obvious that in real life he doesn't agree. I mean he gives conflicting statements, he says he watched "rap go to crap" then he comes out and works with Lil Wayne; and he made that statement around the time Lil Wayne was dominating the rap world, so he either doesn't like him but makes music with him to be popular and not cause trouble, or he genuinely likes Lil Wayne, in which case i have no fucking idea who it is he's trying to blame for rap going to crap. You could say Soulja Boy but Em hasn't even made a comment on SB referencing Em in a song which gives the impression that he doesn't care.

So fuck if i know.

rap game going to crap wouldnt have anything to do with lil wayne by default. He doesnt make up the entire rap game just because he dominates it....

come on now.

I like hip hop, but still, there are only a few artists I actually enjoy listening too. And there are a fuck load of rappers out there that suck. for instance, Soulja boy and yo gotti and jeezy. garbage

There's more to rap than Lil Wayne. Em thinks he's dope, he said so on an interview. He never directed a shot at him and I can guarantee you guys Wayne will be on Recovery. Lil Wayne was actually holding up rap 2005-2009. Plus Tha Carter 3 was dope, not all of it but it was one of the best rap/hip-hop albums of the year. TI is dope too, go have a listen to Paper Trail and then see if you can still talk shit about the guy.

Now if he said Soulja Boi was good, I'd lose all respect for Em. But working with Lil Wayne and on one collab with Drake...doesn't mean anything. Like I said, he'll probably have Wayne or Recovery, but aside from him and Slaughterhouse, I'm doubting there'll be 2-3 more features.
