I think he might be done...

that would be very fitting way to go out on an album with that name, especially after dropping a classic with Recovery

I honestly wouldn't be surprised, as much as it sucks to think about

but....he did say something in one of the new songs about how he's back and there are no signs of slowing down now.

He said during the hiatus he looked at his career and which direction he wanted so I'm sure his collabs will influence him more.

I'd say 2012.

Which is almost annoying as... Given how much material Em supposedly wrote / made for this album; We'll only get to hear like nineteen tracks total from this creative high period.

Swifty McVay supposedly said that Em is keeping some for the next album but we all know Em will scrap the tracks by the time his next one comes around. There's probably like another two classic albums in the mix with everything he's made in 2009 / 2010 and we hear hardly any of it.

And by 2012 he may be worn out again. I would say sooner too given his age and his apparent rush to prove himself again but given that 2010 will be all Recovery and 2011 will likely be a tour (since the album will be huge), I can't see him even starting another until late 2011.

It'll definitely be interesting to see him try to outdo Recovery with the next one though. It's also interesting how these two albums so far have played out almost exactly like 99 / 00 with SSLP and MMLP. In that, SSLP came in 99 and was a dark, jokey, cartoony, in-character album which some warmed to. Relapse came in 2009 with the same identities (although wasn't received as well of course) but then in 00 came MMLP which was huge and went down as a landmark album. And now it looks like in 2010 Recovery will be huge, a classic and possibly another landmark album.

They do have the same sorts of feels, especially with Recovery being more poetic, angst-filled, metaphorical and having an authoritative 'undeniable' tone to it. If it's going the same way now, he'll try so hard to outdo Recovery and create another TES. As he's going to have to dig deep to outdo this. But he's on the way up, which is interesting, as Recovery may not yet be his new peak, just a point on the way up. Be fun to see how far he can go again.

I dont get how some people think this is his last album, I mean on some of these songs he is clearly saying he is back and never gunna let the fans down again.

I understand 25 to life sounds like he is retiring, but there is no way this is his last album.

My guess is an album in a year and a half, like july 2011ish :y:

Yea me neither. I mean the dude just got clean a couple years ago and its almost like he got a new lease on life which also means a clearer head to spit doper rhymes with. If anything i can see him putting more and more shit out as opposed to less and less.

my thought is that his frequency will be a big part of his comeback. relapse in may 09, refill in dec 09, recovery in june 10, i mean he has recorded so much shit, i'm thinking next album will be sooner, especially since he isn't touring, much more time for the studio :y:
