I think the singing is purposely bad, sort of makes it a bare bones, all out emotional track which shows Ems vulnerability and sadness when it comes to the death of his best friend. Like someone already mentioned, on Hailies Song hes better, so im sure he could've got it to that standard if he wanted to, once again making me think it may have been slightly intentional.
You might see me joggin, you might see me walkin
you might see me walkin a dead rottweiler dog
with it's head chopped off in the park with a spiked collar
hollerin at him cause the son of a bitch won't quit barkin

I'm a thumbtack that you slept on son, now here i come screaming "a tack!" like i just stepped on one!

yeahh i mean its great to finally have a Proof tribute ... but some things mean so much that words cannot describe it, and i think this would have been better left unreleased. the singing is too much cause for hate, and a song with such deep meaning doesnt deserve this criticism

I didn't want to start a new topic so i'll post my question here
These lines: "And itstead of mourning your death, I’d rather celebrate your life"
Are you surprise that the tribute song that we're all waiting for 4 years is like this????
I thought that it'll be emo/sad song not inspiritual one but i'm glad that he did it in that way!!!!
your thoughts???

Yes, I'm surprise, I would've expected a Halie's Song type of tone. His last verse in Hailie's Song has the perfect tone, it's happiness but not too much, mixed with some sorta pain.

Believe me or not, this is the only song that I skip 3 out of 4 times. The synths in the beats are annoying and the hook is awful.

Best song on album :worship:
"Proof, No matter how much time passes, not a day goes by that I don't think of you. If it weren't for you, I would not be where I am today and we both know it. I tried to write song for you but nothing was good enough, so I'm dedicating them all to you-and you'd be happy to know that I spazzed out on 'em gain!I know you wouldn't have it any other way! Fuck 'em all--let's get 'em!
P.S. I'm sober now, I know you'd be proud. I love you Doody, I'll never forget you. Love, Doody "

hate the beat..... sry....
and delivery... ehhhh i dont know ,,, i still like the track but... he didnt stay on top of that beat and he's not persitent with it... like he all of a sudden speeds up to have that line fit before the beat loops again and like idk how to explain it.... still like the track... but i feel like it couldve been better...
the one part that bugs me is the end of the first verse.. "i don't think u understand how much u ment to me"..... he all of a sudden says that rly fast and it didnt fit with anything... like what did he rhym any of that with
