Seems as if he can't vibe or rock like he used to, just looks awkward now.
Dude, he doesn't need to run all around. U don't see Jay doing that. He just needs to switch it up. he doesn't have to sound exactly like the album. Just how Jay slowed that verse off the Diamonds rmx down. And get more involved w/ the crowd.
I think Proof being gone hurts his act, but he was starting to fall off during the Encore shows. Even lip syncing a couple times
Well his performance isn't missing 'tricks' for me. I don't want him to switch up songs, I'm sure he'll do stuff like that for his official tours anyway. But what's missing is his natural sense of rhythm. Which may of been fucked up for good from the three operations on his knee. It's not about running around it's about looking natural and exciting.
He used to be like a piece of manic elastic on stage, every hand gesture, every movement looked cool and subversive. Now he looks like... Well, it reminds me of watching Tyson fight Lewis when he came back. He looked like a shell of his former self. The speed, the accuracy, the head movement... It was all gone.
Ironically, much of Tyson's power was lost due to him tearing a ligament in his knee too. I've referred to Em as the Tyson of rap before for obvious reasons. That's yet another parallel between the two but a weird, coincidental one.
