I was listening through Ace's work and something just hit me. His rhyming from his comeback (2001 onwards) compared to his work previous to that is incredibly different. And I only just realized from Disposable Arts onwards his flows and use of multies sound a lot like Eminem.

Masta Ace recited all of Em's "Hustlers and Hardcore" (re-used for 'Hellbound' remix) verse when they spoke like... 2008 I think it was. Maybe 2007, both on the phone.

He seems to appreciate Em's writing.

Yeah, Masta Ace never rhymed like Eminem until 2001. Eminem's been rhyming pretty much the same way since his Soul Intent days.

I think Ace's rhyme schemes resemble SSLP-and-prior Eminem more than the MMLP-and-beyond version. His multis have a similar "crispness" to them.
