I didn't think I would notice such quality difference between the CD & the leaked mp3 version.

Massive difference Cinderella man & so bad sound amazing now.

it's a known fact that after 320 kbp you won't notice any differense anymore

if you want a kick-ass quality you need to download lossless audio files =flac, aiff, wavepack (wv), ape, alac (itunes lossless format), wav
mp3, aac, m4a and all the others formats are called lossy, they have a loss of quality from the original disc
the tracks burned into the official disc are always better then the one purchased in any place just like itunes, amazon and al the other places
and yeah, mp3 is the much common audio format but aac, m4a and other have surely a better audio quality even to a lower bitrate than an mp3
example:
mp3 320 kbps/m4a 256?m4a has a best quality, m4a has an algorithm of compression much "powerful" than mp3
so if you want real kickass quality you need to downlod LOSSLESS audio=flac, aiff, wavepack (wv), ape, alac (itunes lossless format), wav
or rip it from the original cd to wav
