Kayne is not a very good rapper, but he is a great artist, he knows how to put together a great album. When I listen to his albums I usually pay attention to the beats & song structure the most, and sometimes subject matter cuz skill-wise he doesn't have much to show. Still great albums are what matter lots of rappers have skills but could never make albums like him

I've tried to give multiple Kanye West albums a chance. I still hate him, and he still sucks to my ears. I can't stand him.

Yeah I think some of his music is cool to listen to. But never have I heard a Kanye song and thought that he was an amazing hip-hop artist. Dudes creative, but imo he has done nothing that stands out for me, as in an album, song, lyric, etc. Plus, I think the fact I don't see him as above average in any way, and he is so damn cocky all the time, just makes it worse lol. Just my opinion tho, I know the dude won 3 rap album grammy's

I consider his two first albums among the top 20 hip hop albums from 2000-2009, but i prefer his debut. But damn, imagine how insane a Kanye album would have been if he was a good rapper???

IMO Kanye is an avrage rapper. What makes him and his first two albums great is the sound he strings together and the way he make the beats fit him perfectly and cover his shortcomings as a rapper.
There's a thousand rappers out there better then kanye, but very few that is able to paint such a perfect picture of sound, like he does.
