My Ipod has 6256 songs from 330 artists in 663 albums. I have every type of Hip-Hop imaginable from earlly 80's, golden age of rap, all types of 90's, new mainstream, rap from different countries and as far underground as you can dig. I've listened to just as much, if not more Hip-Hop than almost anyone on this forum. You're running around talking about how Lil Wayne spits fire, if you've listened to as much hip-hop as you say you do then you would know that Lil Wayne is garbage and that there are so many rappers better than him. Gtfo.

And this is where your head is dense. I NEVER EVER said he was the best ever, and i NEVER said that there were not better guys out there. There are, there are plenty of rappers better than him... but hes not HALF as bad as most of you people make him out to be. At least not his underground stuff..I already said that his mainstream is fuckin awful, almost embarrassing.

But that doesn't change the fact that EVERY song on the drought 3 went hard, and everything leading up to d3 was niiiiiice. His downfall came after d3, but everything before d3 was nice. real nice.

Some how you guys think that there is no possible way I could like any other type of music. I knew that I was gonna get shit for saying i like him, but you know what? I dont fkin care at this point, I never listen to the radio anyways, so as far as that goes, i cant really speak on it, but i HAVE heard some of his radio stuff and it WAS ridiculous... (autotune shit) He lost so much respect from doin all that autotune fag music... But that doesn't change his past work.

Im sick of people saying how bad he is and judging him based on what they've heard on the radio. The radio is a JOKE these days anyway. In fact i dont even listen to hiphop stations anymore because all they play is R&B girl/fag music, except for the late night stuff on this private station around boston. How often do you hear big L, pun, tech n9ne, rakim, raekwon, gfk, or even the roots on the radio???? Even the pac and big shit they play is still the fuckin mainstream shit..... We all know that even those songs dont show the true pac or big


So unless you've heard his underground shit / mixtape stuff, please dont speak. If you have? and you still dont like some of it... well then so be it, who the fuck cares. How you gonna sit there and argue with someone because they dont like the same exact music you do?

You'll never change anyone's opinions on Wayne. I don't like the fucker, but I don't go out of my way to insult him. Unless I see someone saying "WAYNE IS THE BEST OMG". Then that's when I feel I need to jump in. Or if LilWayne4Life pops up and says something about how amazing C4 is gonna be and that it's gonna be better than Recovery, I feel the need to jump in that too

Wayne has mad potential to be a good rapper, I've said this time and time again. He's a smart guy, rapping about dumb things

And you hit the nail on the head. He's a smart guy rapping about dumb things, i think the thing that makes him so nice to listen to (his early stuff anyway) is his flow... He has this ability to say the dumbest shit and makes it sound good... He could be rapping about getting his nails done and some how i find myself vibing to it... part of it is the beat too. He (sometimes) flows really well with the beat.

I NEVER said he had substance or depth

There's different music for everything, for every type of mood you may be in.

I will go months at a time where i like a certain rapper, where i listen to his stuff constantly... then i can go months and months, even years without listening to them again... I'm constantly changing, theres been times where i was on a wayne kick (way way way before anyone even knew who he was) and thats all i listened too... Then id go months and months(been like a year now) without listening to him again... like when he was puttin out autotune and i was like whaaaaaat the fuck this dude is a fag, and i hated him. HATED him.

There's even times where i don't even LISTEN to ANY type of rap or hiphop. I just love music, doesn't matter what it is. I have a huge appreciation for music in general, i like everything. But my music of choice is hiphop/rap, so thats what i always go back too... like the main girl who you cheat on with other sluts, but no matter what you always go back to her in the end.

My point being is that it really doesn't matter to me who the artist is, if i like the song, i like it. bottom line. There's many of you... most of you, who would listen to a weezy song and say you dont like it without even listening to it, JUST because its wayne. But then if someone rapped the same song you'd be like OMG THAT SHITS DOPE!

How many times have you guys listened to a weezy song and ACTUALLY gave it a chance... instead of going in with a biased view, already with your mind made up that you're gonna hate it? Because whats funny is i'll be 99% of you had no idea who lil wayne was until he started getting features and then put out C3.
