Eminem 2003 8 Mile Album

Postby Wreck » Jan 6th, '11, 12:37

Don't take this seriously or literally but If Em put out a solo album in 2003 with all the material he had from the 8 Mile Soundtrack time period, given that he didn't put the movie out, so obviously the 8 Mile Soundtrack wouldn't be out, how would it match up to all of Em's other albums, and as an album in hip hop history if it was like this? I know this sounds stupid, it probably wouldn't of happened, their are a lot of D12 features on here, but have a little fun and debate about it- what the album could have been called, how it would of ranked albums wise in hip hop and what it would of done for Em's legacy to not only have the songs with him from 8 Mile, but other songs :shifty:.

Would be a great album. But to be honest, we could make a million different albums if "this didn't happen or he would've done that".

Releasing Renegade with Royce two years after the Jay version dropped?

If he didn't make 8 Mile he would've never had the inspiration to write Lose Yourself and the other songs he wrote during that time and that was a huge key to his success.

It would be awesome if it was a concept album chronicling his (B Rabbit's) struggle and rise to fame. Take off most of the songs on the playlist you made and replace them with other songs that carry the 8 Mile theme, and that would probably be my favorite Em album, to be honest. His 8 Mile work is amazing, TES and 8 Mile are his peaks, IMO

Came back to annihilate, the game's in dire straights, as I await
Word on Satan, as I drop, fall to my knees before this Quija board and I pray
Now I lay me down to sleep
I do this shit in my sleep, I’m sleepin' now, imagine if I awake
