First of all, it aint a "diss". As that guy said above they were just inspired by the controversy (no doubt they thought it'd be funny and might get under his skin a bit, which hey it clearly did if only slightly since he took a shot at them) but they're fans of his, and i doubt Em has any particular animosity to them, they just aint his type of music at all and he probably hadn't even heard of them till this song.

Secondly, to the moron who said they're a "one hit wonder", you're a fucking idiot. They're the most successful UK duo of all time, for starters. The Pet Shop Boys are one of the most consistently good unique groups to come out of the UK, they make music that is actually different from the normal bullshit you hear, they've been having hits for 30 fucking years. Just because you're all fuckin homophobic bastards you can't look past a song like this to search further into their back catalogue? (No pun intended) Shut the fuck up and get over it.

I thought the irony was funny, because if he was indeed as homophobic as the rumours at the time suggested, a song like this would probably piss him off insanely. But you lot are actin more annoyed by it than Em himself has, so what does that suggest?
