I think he means because Em and Timberlake didn't get along.

Anyway, I find it funny because it was actually Interscope and Timbaland in particular that shoved Timberlake onto FIf for Ayo Technology.

Timberlake was attached to that song, and if 50 wanted a Timbo beat for his album, he had to take it.

Fif said it a while back, he didn't like having to adjust himself to artists when it was his song, it should have been the other way around. Of course though, Em and Dre were missing at that point, and Fif just got 150 million+ from Vitamin Water, so music was the last thing on his mind.

Well, I was kind of semi-joking. I doubt Em is really that controlling about what music 50 puts out, but Ayo Technology does seem to be Em's literal worst night-mare of a song! I think it's a great song, but I'm pretty sure Em would hate it beyond words.

What stillmatic said really. Timbaland beat, Timberlake on the hook. Not to mention, the intro being wannabe 8-bit (not to mention dissonant), the whole lyrical concept of the song "I'm fed up of looking at porn, I want to have sex for real now", the vocal effects used in Timbaland's parts. Just seems like Em's worst nightmare!

But yeah, Timbaland does give these songs out, and it's kind of like "This beat is great, but it comes with Justin Timberlake (he often uses Keri Hilson and Nelly Furtado too)", so 50 Cent had to take Justin Timberlake if he wanted Ayo Technology. Similar thing happened with Madonna on 4 Minutes. I'm pretty sure Madonna wouldn't have wanted to collab with Justin, but I guess she just wanted a Timbaland beat that much.

A bit like what Alex Da Kid and Skylar Grey do, I suppose, although evidently Alex Da Kid is a bit more tolerant about it if the artist wants to use a different vocalist.
