^ "Cocaine" is not from a Relapse session. His style is like Recovery, and it was not produced by Dre was it? all Relapse material was produced by him or Dre.

He says he's "relapsing back in this game", he uses it as a word and obviously it's probably a reference to a title BUT, I think it was a transition stage.

All original Relapse material (1 and 2) was done with Dr. Dre. So anything not produced by Dre. is not truly 'Relapse material'.

So "Cocaine" was probably made when he decided to change the tone of the album but before he decided to make an entirely new album with a new title (Recovery).

^ I'm almost sure it was for Relapse/Relapse 2, like it would have been the first single or something.
All of his relapse tracks don't have his accent though, look at underground.

The content made me think of a "come-back" track, like it could have been a bonus track on Relapse.

"Relapsing back in this game
Oh well, fuck it, then"

I also think this line is a reference to "Relapse", the name of the album. I think he recorded it around the same time he recorded be careful what you wish for.

And no, it wasn't produced by dre. It's a sampled beat.

^ ALL original 'Relapse material' was done with Dr. Dre.

That song has a sung hook and was produced like songs from Recovery.

And it's not just a case of having an accent, the subject-matter is personal and the style itself is exactly like songs on Recovery. Mr. Porter said Relapse 2 was like "Taking My Ball".

"Cocaine" was likely a transition track made when he decided to make new material due to the fact Relapse didn't connect like he wanted, but before he decided to make all new material and give it all a new title (Recovery). But it's not a truly original Relapse 2 track.

You can say that. I now think that this was a transition track, maybe be the stepping stone to Recovery. I also believe that this was done at the end of Relapse 2 session followed by "On Fire".

It wasn't a Relapse session.

Anything made with a different producer was no longer a Relapse session track.

He did Relapse 1 AND 2 with Dr. Dre. He had two ready to go. He said he was still figuring out which tracks / how many to put on the sequel etc. but they 'got it down' to two albums.

So "Cocaine" was a transition track. It wasn't made with other Relapse tracks.

Is there a legit source that confirms the fact that this was not produced by "Dr.Dre"?

The song definitely has a different vibe to it, if what you're saying is completely correct, then the thing that you said about this song being a transition, is true.

I'm not sure exactly who produced it but I think it's pretty obvious from its sound that it wasn't Dr. Dre. It's produced like a Recovery track, it sounds cheap and clangy.

It's clearly a modern beat and unless Dre completely changed his production style for one song I highly doubt that was produced by him. Not to mention the fact it has a female on the hook like that and just SOUNDS like other Recovery tracks.

The melody is taken straight from Jazmine Sullivan’s Salaam Remi-produced tune, “Fame”.

It's a sample, so your assumptions get's another strong pillar to stand on.

Wrongo.

Fly Away was for Recovery, but HMWYBS was for Relapse 2. Cocaine was for the Recovery album, & I'm not sure when Oh No was recorded, so I can't quite correct you there as well.
