T.I. talks about recording "That's All She Wrote" with Eminem and more:
"...after (my verses were) complete, I said, 'You know what? This is the perfect record for me and my guy -- for me and Marshall.' And Em and I, you know, we've had significant contact with one another since we first had met back in '05-06, that was right after my homeboy Phil had died, right after his homeboy Proof had died and you know, we initially bonded & connected relating to one another. From that and.. later just found out how much we had in common. And every time he was going through things, I made a point to stay in contact with him, check on him, see what's up and vice versa. Every time I'm going through things, he makes it point to reach out and make sure it's all good. I really do appreciate that.
From the standpoint of a musician, he is one of the most meticulous -- he has one of the most meticulous recording processes I've ever witnessed. He is the epitome of a perfectionist & he critiques not every bar, but every syllable. Not even every word, every syllable, you know what I'm saying, and challenges himself time after time after time again only for a verse. And me knowing that, and knowing how the way I do my shit... is effortless.. I know there has to be some great meeting of the mind to cohesively infuse these two very different approaches to create music.. to artistry and I think that for this particular record man, we were able to pull it off."
