I feel like this case probably hurts the chances of any future collaborations between FBT and Eminem.

As selfish as it sounds, this is my biggest concern on the whole thing. Some of Eminem's best songs were made in collaboration with the Bass Brothers.
Didn't we once discuss why he isn't working with them anymore since Beautiful? I think this lawsuit is the reason...

Yeah we did, it's been discussed a lot, & I always attributed their lack of a working relationship since Beautiful to the lawsuit, even though Eminem isn't in it, Aftermath is, he's still involved.

I think they deserve what they're asking for.

They have been getting paid for licensing, not distribution, and that's what this case is actually about. iTunes is a result of digital DISTRIBUTION, and they should get paid what they're owed.

Eminem would have been a star without Dre, that's at least debatable. Without FBT, he would have never gotten to that point. Jeff put a mortgage out on his house to press the SSEP. That's a pretty substantial contribution, for an artist with no major releases.

This. Never knew about the mortgage part, pretty interesting, how'd you know that? Thanks for the info. The Bass Brothers made Eminem solid, & Dre just turned him into gold. Point is? Both help made him. FBT helped establish his career, & Dre polished it, & made him into a superstar.

This is so one of those times where you have to distinguish between Eminem the business and Marshall Mathers the (business) person....this is so weird
