"Yo, yo, yo, it's your boy Slim!!" Eminem greeted Rapfix yesterday morning in a rather, unusual, but catchy manner. We caught up with Mr. Mathers, who was hanging out at a local 7/11 in Detroit. As always, he was disguising himself, dressed in a black hoodie with a Kangol hat hiding his eyes. Instead of standing around, Eminem invited us inside his own personal black Escalade and told us of many future projects.
"I'm doing a song with Kendrick. Kendrick Lamar," he told Rapfix, "I really enjoyed listening to his debut Section.80." He then began discussing the state of Hip-Hop, and even applauded underground favorite Hopsin. He even gave a nod to Frank Ocean, member of the collective Hip-Hop group Odd Future. "His voice is good, and I'm kinda hoping to hop on a track together." Eminem then proceeded to discuss the game, and even mentioned that he'd love to have both Tyler, The Creator and Hopsin on a track together with him. "I heard Hopsin's diss to Tyler. I thought it was pretty cool, but I think it'd be kinda interesting if the two of 'em hopped on a track with me and tried to impress me. If you know what I mean."
We then asked Eminem about his upcoming collaboration with Kendrick Lamar, and he told us to expect it "very soon." We then asked about his upcoming album, and he told us "it's gonna blow everyone out of the water." "Shady's back" he said, in a singing tone.
