No artist stays good forever. He can still make a good song or two I'm sure. But they will be few and far in between.


Like I said once before, Eminen had a once in a life time sound. You can't expect him to keep that level up his entire life.

Nas dropped the arguable album of the year and he's been in the business for like 20 years. Life Is Good wasn't Illmatic but it was still quality work, and his guest appearances from 2011-2012 have been excellent. Nas is an indisputable proof that you can still be great even without topping your best work.

And for the record I have always thought and still think that Relapse sucks. Same goes for Recovery expect that I liked it for the first few weeks.

yes, you right but Eminem can still write verse like "Forever", only that verse kill all Nas feat verse in 2011/2012 for me, so that numb record its a fucking shame, Eminem has kill Jay remember dat? he drop an incredible techincaly/emotional verse like Airplanes pt. 2 and now this shit? come on, he can still does EPIC things in this rap game...his freestyle in The Art Of Rap ? crazy and exclusive he can kill everyone in the rap game but I dont understand what happen with him...maybe if Proof was still here..(Proof give him the right "hype" for drop insane/good song/verse)

To me Nas' verse on Triple Beam Dreams is better than anything Em has dropped since '03 and even if you disagree Em's verse on Forever certainly doesn't kill anything Nas has written in the past 2 years. Also, and moreover, it's Em's delivery/flow that I have the most problems with. The accents on Relapse and the shouting on Recovery were horrible. And I genuinely think that, it's not because most people have said the same thing. Plus he's been very inconsistent in general.

But yeah, that's not to say that he hasn't dropped good songs, it's just that I know that he can do much better (as he has shown in songs like The Warning/Deja Vu or the verses you mentioned) and it's his lack of dedication to do so that is very annoying and disappointing.
