Kanye's fam Rhymefest, although probably the most underrated artist on the show's roster, hit the stage with more in mind than just promoting his forthcoming album, Blue Collar. The Chi-Town lyricist rushed the crowd with a banger when he attacked "snap rap" and disclaimed the appraisal of diamond-selling artists.
The first diss came as a restatement to his proclamation as a real lyricist, unlike some of the artists in the game: "I'm not the Franchize Boyz, I don't lean and rock." The second spew of venom was directed at Slim Shady: "I bought Eminem, it was a one-time listen," which was followed by "I wish I wasn't good at rhymin,' then I would go diamond."
Hmmm... Wonder which one of the non-rapping Nellys, 50 Centsor top-selling Eminems he was talking to.
