What Em Could/Should Have Done During His Hiatus

Eminem took a sabbatical from music in 2005. Now, I think every artist deserves time off and for the most part it usually helps them and they come back stronger i.e. Kanye West. But Em took a five year break from making new album material, so what he could have done was release a CD with either just Shady Artists or all artists rapping over his beats.

The Re-Up sort of did this but why not do a full length album like Timbaland releases where they rap over Em beats. His beats are so unique and I almost guarantee it would have sold great with Hip Hop being in such a slump in those years and with Stans gobbling anything he releases up. What do you guys think and what do you think he could have done during those years?

He should have done nothing. He's made seven albums, that's a lot of albums for an artist, especially a rapper. He needed the time off. Even without a drug problem/ personal problems he would have needed the time off. It's amazing he's made so much material, but you can't just make album after album. He did what he needed to do. If anything he should have just not made Encore and took his sabbatical right after Eminem Show and took two or three years off to concentrate on Hailey and getting healthy. But it doesn't matter what he should of done. He did what he did, survived and now he's making music again.

in fact, the record company refused to market nirvana's album incesticide becuase they knew nirvana would burn out if they released too many albums in a short span.
