Has 'Kim' been the only prequal song he's made/released?

I like to think of Almost Famous as an unofficial prequel to his early stuff. Not a specific prequel, but just a peak into his mind back then, I guess.

Yeah. He should do it more often too.

I cringed when I read this... this song SCREAMS (no pun intended) filler. Till I Collapse is out of this world.. CM is garbage compared to it.

Definitely. Think of the timeline of his... we need more sober Em letting us delve into his past mind.

I admit I'm not the biggest fan of Recovery, even after this post. It's not that it's a bad album, it's just not that good compared to some of his other works. One of the main things that always made early Em so good was his effortless rhyming skills (like his amazing storytelling ability on SSLP). The reason I don't really like this album is I feel it was kind of ruled by its rhyme scheme and pressure of critics. Eminem didn't talk about that much complex stuff on itbecause his rhyming ability didn't allow him to. After Relapse, i think perhaps he didn't have much to say at the time but was pressured into making another album (and critics weren't the biggest fans of Relapse, so they urged him to make a different album). Em may have thought he was in a different mindset and was past Relapse, but i think he wasn't quite there. I always felt Recovery was a bit dry, the expressed emotions very shallow, probably because eminem wasn't truly feeling the emotions, so he had trouble portraying them. And also, the beats on it are okay i guess, but i much prefer rawer, more undergroundish 90s type beats. Probably y i like SSLP and MMLP so much. well idk, that's just my opinion (overall).

I agree completely with EminemStanatic, but I find myself going back and listening to his older albums rather than Recovery, it is still a great album, I just lost touch around the middle of 2012 and realized I kept going back to his older music.
