As for 'who sold the most records' in the United States, the Beatles and Elvis Presley has sold roughly the same amount (Beatles slightly more albums, and Elvis slightly more singles & EPs), which place them in category of their own (#1). Michael Jackson is #3. If one instead speaks of worldwide sales, Beatles= #1, Elvis Presley= #2, Michael Jackson= #3. Neither of them has sold anywhere near 1 billon though...
