But the point is, the song is kinda bad. So who cares if she's just joking around?
She can do better. She thought she had a hit with this one, but this song didn't even chart on the Billboard. Watch her album getting pushed back again.
I wanted an album so rugged nobody could touch it.
Spent a million a track and went over my budget.
Now how in the fuck am I supposed to get out of debt?
I can't rap anymore, I just murdered the alphabet.

It's Eminem's fault. :shifty: He's the one that practically shoved his infamous "goofy single formula" down Skylar's throat in an obvious attempt to try and display the other side to her personality. Song was ok for the first 2 days after its release but it was pretty clear it wasn't going to be earth-shattering and top the Billboard (lol that it didn't even chart on there  ....I feel kinda bad though..) She should just stick to what she knows. Emo, depressing songs.

^You are joking right? The song was Skylar and Alex's idea. They recorded it without Em in LA then asked him to get on it when they came to work on Slaughterhouse stuff in Detroit. Em suggested some improvements and ended up mixing it probably trying to save it. The emo stuff wasn't working so she tried yet another re-introduction. The song was just wide-released to radio so they're still trying to make it happen but it's in the 400s on Itunes and on sale for 69cents (that made me laugh for some reason....that's like Itunes bargain basement lol)

That's not the only thing Em shoved down her throat.

Yeah but it's awful for Eminem's standards. That's like Lebron scoring 5 points in an important game. If some nameless fuck did that off the bench it wouldn't be that bad, but if it's someone like James, it's laughable.

It is in no way awful for Eminem's standards. The sticking to the concept, flow, and rhyming are all pretty spot-on.

babyjane wrote:^Hmm weird. Maybe she expected a bigger reaction. I saw a performance on youtube where she seemed mad that the audience wasn't clapping along enough. Must be hell to be a sensitive person in showbiz, it's a nasty business.

I wonder if that was the performance I was at...

She was getting upset about crowd interaction, but she wasn't actually interacting with the crowd. I mean, she was talking to us all, and telling people to do things, but it wasn't believable. It was a smaller crowd, and she was treating it like a giant one. Not in terms of energy, but in how she was talking to everyone.

She was nervous, and she got frustrated. What she should have done was have fun with the crowd, we were all there to see her. For her to think that she had a couple hundred people there to hear her sing her hooks is ridiculous. She had plenty of fans in that crowd, but she wasn't connecting with them. Anyway, like you said, she's a sensitive person. In that instance, she was overly sensitive.

Not as bad as Ceelo Green though. He got so pissed that everyone was just waiting through his set to see Eminem that he ended up just pouting through half of a song and not even singing, and then eventually left early if I remember correctly. Again though, if he had just been cool about it, we would have all had a good time.
