Mountain Dew decided to include on its list something from what is arguably one of the most famous live performances ever in Rap, the piano from Eminem’s 2001 Grammy performance that was played by Elton John. The performance came at a time when “Slim Shady” was under intense criticism for his lyrics, which were deemed homophobic by several LGBT organizations. The openly gay Sir Elton John joined Em on “music’s biggest night” and the two gave a memorable rendition of the emcee’s single "Stan."
