Irrespective of this and however the material is... it was obvious he's been in a darker mindset, or at least wants to give that appearance lately anyway; just in his 2012 performances the constant hood covering his face and creating that visual mystique, I think he's really trying to get back in to the role of a villain.

I think it's going to be pretty hard for the world to see him like that again, like... how he wants them to, but if any one can do it - he can, and he sure as fuck isn't giving up on that; I love how endlessly angry and rebellious he is - Recovery has shitty music but Em himself is angrier than ever, he's aimlessly angry for its own sake lmao, and every time the world doesn't react he just tries to notch it up...

Now that he's put Relapse out... an album where he ate babies and raped 2872872287 women... which didn't shock anyone... I think then he perhaps thought just being more realistic with his thoughts/style may be shocking with things like "Cold Wind Blows" - more real-world anger... and he may have been on to something at some points, as his anger in his LTWYL 2 verse.. at one point, feels like it resonates sharply...

I think he's probably soaked up all this lack of reaction and dismissal of his 'shock' and hopefully pulled out all the stops - politically, comically, conceptually to create something truly fucked up lmao. Normally I would find that lame in an artist - but Em's brilliance has always come from reaction to reaction and when he gets to a dark or angry place, or when people think they have him figured out. And I'm still holding on to that Royce comment and Porter's 'light work' one as indicates as well... I really fucking hope so. But, not gonna be surprised if I'm disappointed this time. I just hope.

. Well said, I agree that Em needs to come up with something people don't expect. That's what's so great about a new eminem album, you have no idea what he's gonna say he's so unpredictable. Drake,lil wayne, kanye,jay z etc are fairly predictable you know what their music will sound like more or less. Not that they're not good but with Em no one knows what he's been cooking up for us
